Louis Timmermans

Timmermans was born in 1846, in Brussels, to French parents; died 1910, in Paris. He was a painter of seascapes and landscapes. Timmermans studied at the Brussels academy and the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Francais in Paris and received a commendation in 1904. He worked mainly in France, painting seascapes and views of ports and the bankc of the Seine in Paris. Louviers and The River Meuse at Rotterdam hold works by this artist.
